Raising £1000 for Hospice in the Weald

We have spoken about corporate social responsibility before on our blog, its importance and the benefits of having a CSR strategy so it’s only right for us to tell you what we’ve been raising money for our local charity.

On Friday we hosted our own quiz and raffle night in aid of one of our local charities, Hospice in the Weald. They are an incredible charity who provide support and care for patients with a terminal illness as well as their families. Since they are not part of the NHS, they need to raise £7 million every year to continue providing their life-changing services to people who really need them and as a business, we really wanted to help with that.

We are so happy to say that we raised £1000 through paid entry, raffle ticket sales and our director, Chris Brind, generously doubling the entry money! Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported the quiz whether that was through buying a raffle ticket or turning up for the evening.

We received some extremely generous donations from a range of local and global companies and have been overwhelmed with the support. Without it, we wouldn’t have been able to raise as much as we have for Hospice in the Weald. itris recruitment software would like to thank Assembly Hall Theatre, Biddenden Vineyards, Bill’s Restaurant, Bird & Blend Tea Company, Chapel Down, Chimera Climbing, Columbine, Cook, Delta Force, Dominos, Don Giovanni, Experience Days, Fenwick, GO Paintball, Greggs, Hotel Chocolat, KFC, Lower Ladysden Farm, McDonalds, Moo Moo, Moonlight Cinema, Next, Odeon, Oliver Bonas, Paperchase, Pets Corner, Russell & Bromley, Sainsbury’s, Sinden Theatre, SPN Fitness, Subway, The Body Shop, The Ridge Golf Club, The Spice, TM Active, Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells Squash Club, Wagamama and Wellgrove Farm for donating to the raffle and helping us hit our target of £1000! Also, thank you to The Camden Arms for allowing us to host the quiz at the pub!
