Volunteering at Pepenbury
As a part of our newly implemented CSR strategy, we have vowed to do more to help local charities. This initially started with a quiz night where we raised £1000 for Hospice in the Weald, now, we are turning our attention to another charity we’re incredibly passionate about, Pepenbury.
Pepenbury (Aspens) aim to help young people and adults with a range of disabilities by providing residential care, supported accommodation, day services and support for people living independently in the community.
At itris, we offer all our employees a day per year where they can volunteer for one of our local charities. Last week, we sent a handful of our volunteers down to Pepenbury to help their maintenance and grounds team out. They spent their time coppicing and clearing the woodland paths in unbearable 33-degree heat so well done to everyone who went for sticking at it, even if you did return with a few scratches and bites!
Thank you Pepenbury for allowing our volunteers to pay you a visit and we look forward to even more of our staff being able to help you in the upcoming months!
