It seems like Google is jumping on the recruitment bandwagon when earlier this week they released a new tool, Google Hire. It’s set to allow employers to post job listings and manage candidates through an applicant tracking system. A handy tool for any recruiter, especially with Google being the world’s largest search engine.

With people saying it’s set to be the new LinkedIn, it’s caused a stir in the recruitment industry with rumours flying around that it could allow recruiters to see your personal search history and YouTube accounts. Fortunately, Google have dismissed the claim but made no further comment.

Could this be a similar move to Facebook launching their new recruitment feature? What should we start expecting from other social media channels and online presences?
